Awaken your inner chemist and learn how to safely create, test and fire glazes. Discussions and demonstrations will include studio safety, documentation, glaze starting points, the major chemical groups and what they do in the kiln atmosphere, where to find recipes, how to use the scales, and how to fire both electric and gas kilns, including the atmospheric process of raku and sagger.

Your class fee provides one bag of clay, firing, glazing and open studio for the duration of the class. Additional clay $15 to $20 per bag. Max: 10 students
