Another way to find out more about our process is to visit the Journal. This is Jenny’s blog that ties together all the projects she works on- pottery, sculpture, drawing & illustration.
And to stay up to date is to sign up for our newsletter. This mail chimp newsletter is sent out every other month (we try, sometimes it’s more sporadic.) Find out what is new in the studio, learn about special deals, and just overall see how the Dowd House works! Subscribe just below…
FAQ
Dishwasher? Microwave? Oven??
All of our pottery is safe for use in the microwave and dishwasher. Most of our pottery is not safe for use in the oven, however we do have an ovenware clay that we use for some items, so please let us know if you would like something for baking in (or if you like to warm your plates in the oven)
We have been told that it is best to use liquid soap when washing handmade wares in the dishwasher. And if you place something in the microwave (with liquid or food in it) and the dish itself becomes too hot to handle, then it should not go in the microwave
Do you teach?
