Hand Building: From the Simple to the Outstanding
Hand building is an ancient pottery-making technique that involves creating forms without a pottery wheel, using the hands, fingers, and simple tools. Handbuilding techniques allow for a wide range of creativity which allows us to create simple cups, bowls, and sculptures and imbue them with interesting and other unique textures, found and created. This class with concentrate on building several utilitarian and sculptural forms and conclude with 2 weeks of slip and glaze decoration.
Taught by Sam, this class meets in the ceramics studio at the Art Association
