Wake up your inner chemist and learn how to safely create, test and fire glazes. Discussions and demonstrations will include studio safety, documentation, glaze starting points, the major chemical groups and what they do in the kiln atmosphere, how to use the gram scale, and how to fire your tests in both electric and gas kilns. This class will also include a soda firing during the 5th week of the class.
